Ratnasambhava Buddha means "Born from a jewel". The Ratnasambhava equals wisdom of evenness. He touches the ground, just like Aksobhya Buddha, but with his palm towards the beholder, as a gesture of giving. Ratnasambhavan is the giver of talents. He offers the world the three jewels: the Buddha, His teachings (Dharma) and His community (Sanha). Ratnasambhavas mandala and mantras are aimed at developing equanimity and equality among men, and to destroy greed and pride. His mantra is om ra tna sa mbha va tram. Nowadays you will find in many homes a meditation corner, with a favourite Buddha's statue, flowers, candles, scents and pictures of loved ones. It is the place one can have his or her daily moment of reflection, contemplation and meditation.
